I found this gem embedded in a thread. The OP was trying to figure out how to talk his wife into letting him get his second longboard. Target audience is the younger riders. The old riders have already figured this out. Enjoy.

I am assuming you have only the one board, and this is the basis of having to get another board. Obviously by all of the responses received on this subject getting a new board has a very low WAF--Wife Acceptance Factor. The second board will be easier to get than you think, especially if it is getting ratty and possibly even dangerous, but even then a second board still will not be enough. She will allow you to have the second board but be ready to take a little grief for it. It is her way of getting over it. The third, forth and fifth boards are gonna be the hardest. After the fifth board it is all downhill from there. Once you have five or more boards in your quiver she will just refer to the collection as those damn boards and you will be able to move boards in and out of the quiver without her so much as even noticing. It will really help if you have several pairs of trucks and sets of wheels laying around amongst the menagerie. Then your quiver will always be in in sort of a transitory situation where your boards will always have parts swapped around leading to even more confusion about the actual number of boards you have. Eventually you will have several rooms of boards to choose from. Just remember the third and forth rooms are always harder to swing than the first two rooms. Good Luck.
